FFELP Special Allowance Rates

In order to calculate special allowance, the Treasury Department publishes the following for each ending quarter:

• the average of the bond equivalent rates of the ninety-one day Treasury bills
• the average of the bond equivalent rates of the notes of the three-month commercial paper rates in effect for each of the days in each quarter
