OGSLP NewsFlash - OGSLP Conference Update
Hero Nominations
We've had many great nominations for the "Everyday Hero" recognition event that will take place next week at OGSLP's annual conference. However, you still have time to submit the name of a peer or co-worker who is a hero in your eyes.
Please nominate one or more individuals for the following categories:
Serious Awards- Let us know of co-workers or peers you deem as heroes and include a few words to describe why they are a hero. Don't worry about being formal, just tell us why these folks are great and deserve to be recognized by their peers. Some examples of current submissions include:
Someone who always answers the phone with a smile in their voice.
Someone who makes you feel like there really is no stupid question.
Funny Awards- Create your own category and have fun with it. Some examples of funny category submissions include:
• The Cleanest Desk
• The Best Smile
• The Office Cheerleader
• The Most School Spirit
• The Biggest Cat Lover
• The Proudest Grandparent
• The Office Clown
• The Most Pictures in Their Office
• The Best Snack-Maker
• The Most "Uniquely Organized" Desk/Office
• The Biggest Dog Lover
On Thursday, June 7, you will be entering the supernatural world of "Financial Aid Professionals: Everyday Heroes." We realize that getting up day after day...pulling on the spandex leotards, donning the cape and mask, and velcroing on the initials of SH for Super Hero requires inner strength beyond belief. But you find a way to do it everyday with a warm smile and great attitude for those you serve. We also know that you recognize it in others. So don't be shy, let the world know of a super hero near you!
A certificate will be given to those randomly chosen to receive this honor. E-mail your nominations by Friday, June 1, 2007, to Penny Gandy at pgandy@ogslp.org. For more detailed information regarding this event, you may link to the original article if you click here.
