President Signs HEROES Act of 2003 - On August 19, President Bush signed into law the Higher Education Relief Opportunities for Students Act of 2003 (HEROES).

Treasury Offers New Online Financial Education Directory - The Treasury Department’s Office of Financial Education (OFE) recently announced a new online “Federal Financial Education Resources” directory. This Directory will make financial education information more accessible to government entities, community-based organizations and the general public.

Entrance & Exit Interview Forms Available - OGSLP Entrance & Exit Interview forms that incorporate the July 1, 2003 requirements are available.

Congress Reconvenes; Loan Reconsolidation High on List of Concerns (NASFAA) -After a month-long summer recess, members of the House and Senate have reconvened in Washington to take up issues pertaining to the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act and appropriations for Title IV and other education programs.
