New FFELP Deferment Forms Approved: The new Federal Family Education Loan Program's deferment forms were approved and announced in Dear Partner Letter GEN-02-08.
MPN Printing Instructions Changed: The printing instructions provided by the Department of Education in GEN-02-07 were incorrect. Corrections concerning printing of logos has been announced in GEN-02-09.
Common Manual Restructuring Begins: Based on valuable input from the FFELP school and lender community, Common Manual has embarked on an effort to improve the usability of the policy manual. To accomplish this objective, they have formed a Restructuring Subcommittee. This subcommittee has been tasked with the objective of identifying potential improvements in the layout and categorization of subject matter.
