OGSLP Continues to Waive Guarantee Fee: As schools begin packaging for the new school year, OGSLP would like to make our customers aware that we will continue to waive the 1% guarantee fee.

OGSLP Default Prevention Workshops Scheduled: Default prevention comes in a variety of sizes, forms and approaches. What works at one school may not be the best approach for another. That's why OGSLP is offering school clients the chance to view our default prevention products and services, talk about best practices in the industry and discuss what we can do to help tailor a default management program that works for your school.

Streamlined Disbursement Rules Soon to Expire: The 1998 Reauthorization of the Higher Education provided welcome relief, in the form of streamlined disbursement rules for schools with a cohort default rate of less than 10% for the three most recent fiscal years. These rules are set to expire this September 30, 2002.

Teacher Loan Forgiveness: The Teacher Loan Forgiveness program was implemented on July 1, 2001, as an incentive to encourage individuals to enter and continue in the teaching profession.

Common Manual Update: The February version of the Integrated Common Manual (ICM) is now available for downloading to your desktop. This version contains the most recent policy changes approved by the Governing Board.

The Common Manual Governing Board recently approved changes that modify policies contained in the July 2001 version of the Common Manual. These changes are identified in OGSLP's Common Manual Update (CM-61).
