Mary Mowdy Appointed Executive Director: The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education recently announced the appointment of Norman resident Mary Mowdy to the executive director position for the Oklahoma Guaranteed Student Loan Program (OGSLP).

Status Changes Confirmation Process: OGSLP has enhanced the status change process for changes submitted by schools via e-mail or the NetWizard Guarantee, Disbursement and Servicing Data (GDSD) product.

"Cash for College" Program to Air January 17, 2002, at 8:00 p.m.: Attached is a press release concerning the OETA Program "Cash for College." This "live" program is a collaborative effort between OASFAA, the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, OGSLP and our generous sponsors.

2002 Negotiated Rulemaking for Higher Education: The U.S. Department of Education (ED) has begun the official 2002 Negotiated Rulemaking (Neg Reg) process with the financial aid community.

OGSLP School and Lender Directory: OGSLP has completed another update to the School and Lender Directory.

Special Allowance Rates: The U.S. Department of Education (ED) released the special allowance rates for the quarter ending December 31, 2001.

Common Manual Update: The Common Manual Governing Board recently approved changes that modify policies contained in the July 2001 version of the Common Manual. These changes are identified in OGSLP's Common Manual Update (CM-59).

Oklahoma State Regents Offices Observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: All Oklahoma State Regents offices (including OGSLP and OTAG) will be closed on Monday, January 21st, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
